Writing an email:

You are the school captain of your primary school. Write an email addressed to a celebrity (person or group) to make a special appearance at your very own Year 6 end-of-year graduation.

In your writing, you should consider (but not limited to) the following:

• Why you choose this celebrity and what it means to the school
• What’s so special about your school or community
• What events will occur during the end-of-year ceremony and throughout the day.

You will be marked on what you write, how well you organise your writing and the language you use to express your ideas. 

Before you begin your writing task, it’s helpful to flesh out your arguments first. Brainstorm three arguments, start by writing whatever comes to mind and improve on the ideas from there.
