At a soccer club, four players — Alex, Ben, Charlie, and Dylan — take turns being team captain.

Each match, the coach chooses the player who has gone the longest time since last being captain. Every player is available for every match unless stated otherwise.

Alex was captain for the first match of the season and again for the first match of the next season.

Each season has the same number of matches, and the rotation continues fairly according to the rule above.
