When I saw this sign in the supermarket, I thought it meant that if I bought 3 dozen eggs, one of the 3 dozen would be “free”.

However, when I took 108 eggs to the checkout, I discovered that I had to pay for 3 dozen in order to get one extra dozen “free”.
