Many birds are protective of their hatchlings, guarding them fiercely. However, if they smell a human scent on their young, they may push them out of the nest, thinking it is an imposter. |
Callum: “There is a hatchling bird sitting outside its nest. Someone must have touched it and now its mother has pushed it out of the nest.”
Margie: “My neighbour found a nest and went to pet the hatchlings. So there’s a good chance they will be pushed out of the nest by it’s parents.”
