Margaret and Mandy are twins who often get similar scores in their maths tests. They recently took an algebra test which was marked out of 50 and a geometry test which was marked out of 40. |
Margaret and Mandy both received an overall score of 80.
Margaret: “If our scores in algebra were the same as each other’s, then our scores in geometry must have been the same also.”
Mandy: “If our scores in geometry were different, then our scores for algebra won’t match up either.”
