Britney’s school was selecting students for a new music program. As well as considering their existing knowledge of music, the school set them a music theory test and a performance assessment.

If a student had at least some experience composing music, then they only had to pass the performance assessment.

If they had none, then they had to do well in both the music theory test and the performance assessment.

Britney has played piano since she was 4 years old, writing music for her school, but failed to get a place on the course.
