PERSUASIVE WRITING

You were chosen as a school representative to attend a Get Fit! Program to learn different ideas that a school can implement to encourage students to get active and healthy. The day will show how the school can include fun and exciting ways to introduce activities to benefit students during school hours.

You’ve collected some notes and ideas from the event:

• Games involving running
• Competitions and Challenges (balancing, running, speed, reflexes etc)
• Interesting games (the floor is lava, dance moves etc)
• School excursions (visiting local parks and reserves for projects)
• New play equipment that promotes movement

From your day at Get Fit!, you are to write a letter (an exposition) to the principal on your recommendations to include at least two new ideas into the school curriculum and the reasons why they will benefit your school as well as students.
