At Wisdomia Public School’s swimming carnival, each Colour House keeps track of their ribbon tally. The House that comes first wins Cup Trophy.

The convention is that it is the number of first places that determines a house’s position in the table. Only if there are equal numbers of first places are the number of second places considered, and similarly third place are only considered if the number of second places are also equal.

Helen from Orange House thinks this is the fairest way to compare the performance of each House, but George, who is from Purple House, thinks a better way would be to rank Houses by the total number of top three places, regardless of their position.
