Leaving home, a bittersweet farewell,
The memories of childhood, now to dwell.
The door shuts with a finality that sings,
Of all the adventures that the future brings.

The warmth of the sun on familiar streets,
And the echoes of laughter that still repeats.
The scents of home, the smells of love,
Reminders of those who were once above.

The way the wind blows through the trees,
And the rustling of leaves in the breeze.
The chirping of birds, the buzzing of bees,
The sounds of nature that bring us peace.

But now it's time to spread your wings,
To chase your dreams, to explore new things.
To face the unknown, to take a chance,
To embrace the world with a new dance.

And though you'll miss the comforts of home,
You know you can't stay, you must roam.
For life is an adventure, a journey to take,
And leaving home is the first step to make.
